Kenzo Flower in the Air Perfume
A couple weeks ago while out at Easton, we randomly decided to stop into the Beauty Brands just to say we checked it out. Now I’m not sure if I’ll ever become a frequent Beauty Brands shopper, but I did very much enjoy how they displayed their makeup brands and perfumes on tables for easy access to try them all. I blame their great display on my new fragrance purchase! Kenzo’s Flower in the Air is the perfect fragrance for spring and summer, it’s definitely a floral with a mix of rose, magnolia and gardenia, but the raspberry and white musk give it a modern scent, something akin to how all the cool girls in Paris wear fragrance. The bottle also looks fantastic, the oblong shape with the flower on top is currently displayed prominently on my bedroom dresser.
Smashbox Color Correcting Stick
A couple months ago when color correcting mania was crazy, I was skeptical and overwhelmed at all of the options and completely convinced that none of them would work for my paler than pale skin. And while I haven’t yet tried all of the color correcting options (hello, expensive) I did trek over to my local Sephora to elbow my way in to try some of them. I’m so glad I did. By far my favorite of the color correctors is the Smashbox pencil, it's the perfect spot redness reducer for my pale, sensitive (and often sunburnt) skin. Its even fun to apply, I get a kick out of painting my face like a cat every morning before blending it all in. Take a look at their tutorial for more. This pencil will be moving from one of my latest faves to my permanent makeup collection very swiftly.
Murad Hyrdrating Toner
Chalk it up to my obsession with K-beauty and the importance Koreans place on balanced, moisturized skin, but ever since I’ve added a toner to my skin routine, my skin feels less tight. I really only have one requirement for any toner that I own, it has to have a spray nozzle so I can easily apply it after stepping out of the shower. (Yup, I’m seriously lazy, and often running late, in the AM). This Murad toner not only fits that bill, but it has some amazing after effects as well. Cucumber cools my skin after winter’s hot showers, and it’s so hydrating my skin feels super supple and not tight like others. Easy to use and great for my skin - what more can you ask for?
Julep Plush Pout Lip Crayon
Another lucky find from my Beauty Brands pop-in was this Julep plush pout lip crayon. My past experiences with Julep products have been solely limited to nail polish, to be honest I had no idea they had a full make-up line. So I’m super pumped that I did end up trying their products, because this lip product might be my new go-to for a bright summer lip. Somehow they’ve managed to combine a full coverage lipstick, with the moisture of a lip balm, and pigments that rival the best lippies in the biz. Available in 8 shades, I can 100% guarantee that these will become your new faves for an easy lip look.
Glossier Generation G in Cake
Author’s note: I have such an affinity for Glossier and their products that I’d probably buy anything they offer. Moon mask? My go-to skin saver. Coconut balm dot com? Goes with me everywhere. And now we can add another obsession to my list: glossier generation g in cake. A matte lipstick, it’s basically your natural lips, BUT BETTER. Seriously, one swipe and it starts to hide all of my freckles, a few more and the color builds beautifully. No wonder it’s out of stock. When I’m not rocking a bright lip this summer, I’m expecting to abuse at least of couple tubes of this stuff.
